Can we speak about mythical kingdoms without quoting Mustang? This small Nepalese enclave insulated on the northern slope of the Himalayas, perched above Tibet, crossed the centuries without damage. This kingdom, because Mustang has always a king, has preserved his culture and its original identity. Long time prohibited area, many legends has been told about and a lot appeared real. A whole human and natural environment still provide and hawk it. Singular people, authentic culture and tradition, retreat ground for the Khampa (Tibetans warriors) in the 60/70's, the hight altitude and the purity of the air, the desert with splendid colours, the steep canyons, pass where the "lungta" and "darchog" wave, difficulties of access, everything contribute to feed imagination. Each piece of this Himalayan island seems to contain secrets that a nature disseminated in order to protect its capital. Always today, the arrival in Lo Manthang, fortified capital, continues to be, even for the modern trekker, an initiatory travel. More than a trekking, it is an objective to reach to discover a civilization which, today, a few kilometres from there, tries to survive a destruction. A travel in another world to carry out only in good Company...
