This long and difficult trekking takes place between Ladakh and Lahaul and crosses from west to east the old Zanskar kingdom, an area which have preserved all its nature. Here, the meaning of the word trekking takes all its dimension: walk, encounters but also loneliness, incredible landscapes, altitude, glacier, vastness, high pass, fauna, flora, culture, colors, light, mysteries. It is a complete trekking. It takes place, during 20 days, above 3800m in a human and natural environment particularly preserved. The encounters are very rewarding. The very active monasteries still testify to a whole enduring social organization. The trek crosses 8 high altitude pass and 2 mountain ranges, threads one's way through a twisted path in very narrow and impressive gorge, run along glaciers, crosses cold and limpid rivers on rudimentary bridges.
