A short trekking with which you will cross the Ladakh Range by a high pass (more than 5400 m) with landscapes always such fantastic before arriving in the splendid Shyok and Nubra valley. This setting was not opened recently to foreigners, because of its proximity with Tibet and Pakistan. It kept preserved all its ancien traditions. Lower than its Indus valley neighbor, the Shyok valley has a micro climate giving a very pleasant and favourable weather for agriculture activities. The apricots are extremely delicious. For a long while, the Nubra valley was a stage on famous "Silk Road" which led the caravans from Perse to China. This isolated valley offered a very good rest and that thing does not have changed now. Hot sulphur springs await you there. The return will be done by jeeps by the road crossing the Khardung La (higher road pas at 5550 m). A trekking to be done in good Company... |
